On Thursday, April 29th, the Boston Men's Baseball League presented Shonda and Curt Schilling and the ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter with Curt's Pitch for ALS a check for $112,000 from money raised during the 100 Innings of Baseball Spectacular. ALS patient, Kathy Rivers, threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the game. The Red Sox went on to defeat the Devil Rays 7-3, their 6th straight win. Then on May 29th (Lou Gehrig Day), award-winning sports director for CBS, Bob Lobel, presented the BMBL organizers an award for their efforts at the Fenway Park Players Club.
