Baseball Night in Boston - hosted by Boston College Baseball
The BC Eagle's 18th Annual Baseball Night In Boston features former Boston Red Sox player Lou Merloni. The fundraiser is for the baseball program and proceeds help defray the team's early-season trips to the south which is vital to the team's preparation. The funds raised also contribute to annual operating expenses including recruiting, equipment and scholarships.

Home run in Harvard Square is a celebration of baseball, the greatest of America's pastimes. This one-time series of seminars will explore the art, science, business and history of the game.

6th Annual Holy Cross Baseball Leadoff Dinner
Head coach Greg DiCenzo and the rest of the 2010 baseball team will host. This year's alumni honoree will be Ron Perry Jr. '80, a former Holy Cross baseball and basketball standout.

Current Senior Vice President/Assistant General Manager of the Boston Red Sox and prominent Amherst baseball alum, Ben Cherington, will serve as the keynote speaker. The evening will also include a silent auction of sports memorabilia.

Tickets for the dinner are $90 each or $60 for former Holy Cross baseball players and friends from the classes of 2003-2009. All proceeds will benefit the Holy Cross baseball program. Learn more.

Head coach Neil McPhee and the baseball team cordially invite all alumni, friends and family to attend the 2010 Baseball Lead-Off Reception. Cal Ripken Jr Baseball Coaching Clinic
Cal Ripken Jr himself is hosting a clinic for amateur baseball coaches, parents and baseball enthusiasts. Cal will be joined by his brother Bill Ripken, and former MLB pitcher John Habyan.

The day begins with an introduction to The Ripken Way and focuses on the specific instructional blocks regarding core aspects of the game: pitching, hitting and defense. The price of admission is $99 ($75 for BABN members), and includes a catered lunch, a comprehensive take-home instructional manual, and other giveaways and prizes.

Brockton Rox Hot Stove
Former major league players Cecil Fielder, Rich Gedman, Butch Hobson and Pete Incaviglia will be the featured speakers at the Brockton Rox’ annual Hot Stove Banquet.

The majors’ influence on independent baseball will be highlighted during the evening. Not only were the four players notable big leaguers, but they are also current or former independent league managers.

The program will feature an open question-and-answer session with the speakers. Individual tickets for the event are $50. There will be an auction and raffle with proceeds to benefit Father Bills & MainSpring, a program for the homeless located in Brockton.
