2007 Recap

Unfortunately for the Senators, the 2007 season ended prematurely once again. However, for the third straight year and every year of their existence, the Senators made the post season. In the playoffs, the team dropped the first game to a tough Tigers squad but battled back in the second game to win 10-8. Rookie Sean Bourbeau pitched 5 strong innings while Dennis Ingram and Matt Coyne powered the offense with deep blasts to left. In the third and final game, the Tigers' offense was too much to handle as they downed the Senators 10-1. The Tigers would eventually go on to play for the MABL title. This was the second straight year the Tigers ended the Senators' season.

Despite the loss the Senators had many bright spots during the 2007 season.

- On June 16th, the Senators allowed one hit winning 6-0 over the Bay State Semifinalist Astros.

- Seven days later, the Senators walk off with a win in the bottom of the seventh against the MABL Champion Cutters.

- In late July, the Senators knock off the first place Indians, winning again in walk off fashion.

- For the first time in franchise history, the Senators pulled off wins against the Tigers, Cutters, White Sox and Rangers.

- Nate Laliberte, Matt Mothander, Jim O'Donnell, and Dennis Ingram made the Bay State All-Star team, the largest number of elections in team history.

- Rookie third baseman Nate Laliberte was named to the league's Elite team honoring the best player in the league at each position. Nate also finished second in rookie of the year voting.

- The Senators set new team records for the number of triples in a season with 9 and home runs in a season with 8.

- The Senators also set a new team record with a .357 slugging percentage.

- On the mound, the Senators set a new team record with 165 strikeouts in a season and a new record for strike outs per inning pitched with .943.

- Individually, Nate Laliberte broke the single season record for home runs, batting average, hits, RBIs, and slugging percentage.

- Matt Orszulak set the record for number of walks in a single season with 16 and had 16 stolen bases, second overall.

- Matt Mothander set the record with the lowest ERA in a season with a greedy 1.89 earned run average and set the record for strike outs in a season with 55. Mothander also set the record for strike outs per innings pitched.

- Joe Burns tied the record for saves in a season with 2.
