Mead was also 2nd in the league in hits (35), tied for 7th in doubles (9), tied for 6th in triples (3), tied for 6th in RBIs (27), 6th in Runs Scored (28), 8th in in on-base percentage (.551) and in slugging average (.812). Mead also held the league's longest hitting streak of the season at 18 games. Selected to his second straight MABL All-Star Team, Mead's range at secondbase and positive attitude on and off the field helped the Whitesox to be contenders in 2000, even with an injured wrist for much of the season.
