Brett Rudy
#18 | outfield

born November 27, 1972

resides Wakefield, MA

Brett Rudy returned to the Whitesox in 2000 for his fourth season as Skipper (fifth as a Sox player). Rudy has managed the Whitesox into the playoffs each of the last three seasons, turning the team's best record at 11-11 this season. Rudy is the only member of the MABL not to miss a single game over this three-year stretch. Rudy finished the 2000 campaign at a .229 clip, but hit .354 if you overlook his 0-17 slump stretch over the middle of the season. A former 1999 MABL All-Star Team member, Brett hit .433 that year and was among the League's Top 10 in hits, RBIs and Runs. One standout performance from Brett was versus the Cubs, where he gunned out two Cubs baserunners, one at thirdbase and one at the plate. Brett is also the developer of the Whitesox and Boston Baseball League websites, as well as Director of Advertising and New Player Recruiting for the Boston MSBL and MABL.
