Andrew Vizor
outfield

born April 28, 1978

resides Allston, MA

Andrew Vizor joined the Whitesox in 2000 via the New Player Draft after playing the 1999 season with the MABL Indians. For the Whitesox, Andrew demonstrated potential with a strong arm from the outfield and a quick swing behind the plate. Defensively, Vizor shined versus the Rockies, helping seal an 8-7 win by making a clutch tough grab of a line-drive to leftfield in the seventh inning with the winning run on base. Offensively, while Andrew
struggled at the plate during the season, he had a perfect day versus the Astros at 1 for 1, with a walk, run scored, 2 RBI and a homerun that landed on the roof of the Jefferson Field school. With a .481 on-base average in 1999, look for Andrew to rebound in 2001.
