school Lynn Classical H.S., 1998

acquired Boston MABL Brewers, 2002

Eddie Barber was the best pitcher in the MABL Saturday League in 2001, sharing the lead in Cy Young balloting. He was undefeated in his rookie season, and tied for the league lead in Wins (5). And he led the league in strikeouts (47), twice striking out 10 or more. Plus, he was second in the league in ERA (3.67). On top of that, Eddie contributed a cannon arm from the outfield. In the East Bridgewater tournament in the fall of 2001, Eddie nailed two base runners at the plate from left field in a single game.

Much of the 2002 season was a disappointment for Eddie as he was forced onto the DL multiple times missing many games. However, in only 9 innings pitched, Eddie managed 8 K's to prove he still had his velocity. Even while unable to play, Eddie still contributed many words of wisdom in the clubhouse.

Awards: MABL Saturday League Cy Young Runner-up, 2001.

Appearances: 2001 Boston Dirt Dogs (AZ).
