Murray Reed returned to the Sox for his 6th season in 2002 as one of the better defensive first-basemen in the league. But Murray was more often known for his power at the plate. In 2002, Reed slugged 1.091 with a .545 average during night games and also co-led the Sox with 17 RBIs. In 2002, Reed opted for retirement 12 games into the season to take up the banjo. Reed played in 20+ games 4 times in his 6-year career with the White Sox. Murray retired as the Sox All-Time homerun leader with 7 dingers. Reed also finished Top 5 on the Sox All-Time list for hits, RBI's, triples, extra-base hits, total bases and walks. Reed was enshrined into the White Sox Hall of Fame in 2004 for his lifetime achievements just days prior to the BMBL Cooperstown Classic, which the White Sox competed in and Reed attended. Records: White Sox All-Time leader, Homeruns (7). Appearances: 2000 Boston United (AZ). MABL Career Statistics:
