| With a quick bat and compact swing, Jason was a new addition in
2003 to the White Sox roster. Prior to joining the Sox, Jason played for almost 2
years in the outfield for Babson College. And before that, he played varsity baseball
at Class L (D1) Pinkerton Academy in Derry, New Hampshire and participated in various
Babe Ruth and American Legion baseball leagues. For the Sox, by the end of June of his rookie year in 2003, Ackerson was hitting a respectable .273 -- more than 20% higher than the league average. And in July and August, Ackerson hit .304. Over the season, Ack's best single-day performance was clearly versus the Mariners on 6/8 when he laced a pair of doubles and notched 3 RBI in a doubleheader. In 2004, Ackerson finished with similar numbers to a year ago. He reached base successfully in 12 of the 25 Sox games he played. Ack also came through with 20 putouts from the outfield, as well as 3 outfield assists. Not to shabby. Ack always hustles and brings a positive attitude to the ballpark. Appearances: 2003 & 2004 Boston United (AZ). MABL Career Statistics: BATTING
