Joe Fitzgerald

Joe comes to the White Sox and is expected to bring a punch to the lineup and on the mound. Joe gained his greatest baseball experience while pitching and playing firstbase for the Fairfield University Stags, a D1 program in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).

Joe brought his offense to the White Sox without missing a beat. Through his first five games with the Sox, Joe was batting .636 (7 for 11) with 5 extrabase hits. While he settled down somewhat, Joe continued to hit .364 through mid-July while giving infielders a tall target over at first base. He finished the season at .317. However, Joe's most memorable moment in 2004 was likely his homerun out of Doubleday Field versus the Reds at the Baseball Hall of Fame Cooperstown Classic. Overall, Fitz helped give the White Sox the edge they needed at every chance.

Appearances: 2004 MABL All-Star.
