Ryan Gray

Ryan Gray joined the White Sox after being drafted in the 2nd round of the 2004 MABL Draft. During the 2003 season, Ryan coached baseball at a Camp Caribou in Winslow, Maine.

In joining the Sox, Ryan started out hot and stayed hot. In Ryan's first scrimmage in a Sox jersey versus the Orioles, Ryan was perfect at the plate going 2 for 2 with 2 RBI, a stolen base and a HBP. And he was pretty smooth over at first base as well. And during Ryan's first 10 regular season games in a Sox jersey, he batted a lofty .375. Plus, he finished the season with two 3-hit games. Ryan's most memorable hit was likely versus the Reds, where the game that began on 8/12 was suspended in a 3-3 tie in the 7th inning due to rain. When both teams returned to complete the game 17 days later, Gray stepped up with Mike Lembo on 2nd base and drove him in with a game-winning RBI-single. Ryan made a consistent impact to the Sox line-up all season long, batting greater than .308 in every month, and finishing the season at .340.
