Tom Manning

Tom graduated from Norwood High with Mike Lembo in 2001. After playing Senior Babe Ruth for many summers with current Sox, Lembo and Matt Giblin, Tom was highly recommended to join the team. Tom has suited up with the Sox before, as in pre-season 2002, he joined the squad for a scrimmage versus the Cubs. Tom is currently a junior at Bridgewater State College.

For the White Sox, nobody was a team player more than Tom. Attending nearly every game, Tom would help out in ways often not seen in the linescore, whether coaching a base, warming up a player or cheering on a teammate. And on the field, Tom's hard work paid off. During the finals of the Cooperstown Classic tournament at Doubleday Field, Chris Ryan of the Marlins launched what was seemingly a 3-run homerun to rightfield, but Manning leaped over the fence to rob the blast and record the final out of the inning. It was truly a remarkable play. And during the last game of the regular season versus the Grays, Tom finally notched his 1st hit of the season, going 2 for 3, actually, with a run scored, and also recording his 1st RBI.

Appearances: 2005 MABL Champion.
