| Dave spent four years pitching for Tufts University where he captained
the team and graduated in 2003. During his 4 years, he compiled a 19-7 record --
the same record the Sox finished with last year. In 2002, Dave was selected as a
1st team NESCAC selection, finishing with a 5-1 record and second in the entire NCAA
D3 nation with a 0.85 ERA. And his senior year, he finished 6-2, leading Tufts to
a regular season divisional championship. In addition to his arm, Dave also brings
to the White Sox a strong stick. DMart finished the 2004 season with a 5-1 record, while 3rd best in the league in hits and walks allowed per inning and 6th best in the league in strikeouts per inning pitched. He tossed 3 complete games (against the Marlins twice and against the Cardinals) and struck out as many as 12 batters in a single game versus the Dodgers. Plus, he finished with the lowest WHIP any White Sox pitcher has ever posted in a single season at 0.88. In addition to his pitching, Martin was also batting a lofty .429 through mid-July. In fact, from 6/13 through 7/17, Martin batted .600 over 8 games. He finished the season hitting a respectable.313. Records: White Sox All-Time single-season leader, WHIP (0.88). Awards: MABL Player's Choice Premier Designated Hitter (2006); MABL Rookie of the Year, 6th Place (2004). Appearances: 2006 Atlantic Conference Champion, 2005 MABL Champion, 2006 & 2004 MABL All-Star. MABL Career Statistics: PITCHING
