Earl Murphy

Prior to joining the White Sox in the winter of 2004, Earl spent spent the summer of 2003 playing for the Medford Astros in the East Coast Amateur Baseball League. Just prior, Earl finished up playing four years of baseball at Syracuse University, a member of the NCBA Eastern Conference, from 2000-2003. Before that, during his senior year of high school in 1999, Earl became the first player in Arlington High School history to win MVP and summer traveling team MVP in the same season. Earl really has quite a history and is a hulk of a hitter. In fact, during his first 12 games in a Sox jersey, Earl crushed 3 doubles and ripped at a .320 clip. Earl is expected to continue to gel the middle of the Sox lineup and spend time behind the dish. Earl played in all 26 games for the White Sox in 2004, a true iron man.

Awards: MABL Player's Choice Premier Designated Hitter, 2005.
