Andrew Marenghi

Andrew Marenghi joined the White Sox in 2006 as part of the merger with the Royals. Yet, his Sox career was merely a spark in the pan. Andrew went 0-2 in the Sox opener versus Cutters and then hung up the spikes for the season.

Prior to joining the Sox, Andrew joined the MABL in 2003 for the Royals, as did his brother Matt. On the mound, Andrew was a perfect 2-0 his rookie season with a 0.93 ERA over 4 games. At bat, he hit a lofty .429 through the all-star break, earning him nomination onto the Atlantic Conference All-Star Team.

In 2004, he earned a slot in the regular pitching rotation for the Royals. By the conclusion of his Royals career in 2005, he compiled a 5-8 record with a 3.20 ERA and 131 strikeouts in 102+ innings. Offensively, Marenghi got his licks at the plate with 102 career at bats and a .240 batting average.

Appearances: 2003 MABL All-Star, 2003 Atlantic Conference Champion.
