Chris Stone joined the White Sox as a free agent in February of 2006, but is no stranger to the MABL. Prior to the Sox, Stone played for Mount St. Mary's University (DI) in Maryland from 1998-2002. After graduation, he joined on with the Long Island MABL where he played for a few teams, ultimately hooking on with the Sundevils. In 2004, with the LIMABL, he competed at the MABL World Series. For the Boston MABL, Stone was commanding. After losing his first game, Stone went on to win 6 straight games en route to an 8-3 record. He finished the season with a 1.03 ERA and 75 strikeouts in 67+ innings. His season included 2 shutouts and 7 complete games. His inaugural season was so impressive he was voted MABL Cy Young and placed 2nd for MABL Rookie of the Year. Awards: MABL Cy Young, 2006; MABL Rookie of the Year 2nd Place, 2006; MABL Player's Choice Elite Pitcher, 2006.
