As a member of the Royals, Felix Villalobos had been beating the White Sox for years. So it was a breath of fresh air when Felix joined the Sox when the teams merged in 2006.
- On August 21, 2005 versus the White Sox, Felix broke up a no-hitter. Dave Martin had not allowed a Royal hit until the 4th inning when Felix led off the inning with a line-drive just out of the reach of second baseman Kyle Michaud. The
Sox did go onto win 8-2, however.
- On September 21, 2003, the Royals staged a dramatic come-from-behind victory over the White Sox, 3-2, to advance to the MABL Finals. Down 1-0 going into the bottom of the 6th inning, the Royals scored 3 runs, capped by a Felix Villalobos 2-RBI single.
- On June 30, 2002, the Royals snuck by the Sox, 7-6 when they rallied for a run in the final inning. Felix Villalobos went 3 for 4 with a triple, and scored the winning run.
Felix's most memorable game may have not been against the White Sox. Felix's stick helped the Royals get their first MABL win ever after a dismal 0-18 record to start their 2001 season. On August 6, the Royals defeated the Astros, 3-2, with a game-winning RBI sacrifice fly by Felix Villalobos.
Felix is a clutch .253 career batter who seems to come up big whenever his team needs him. Felix is just as scrappy in the infield, and is a valued contributor on the White Sox roster.
