Brent Campbell's background includes high school ball, followed by the 2002 and 2003 seasons in an amateur league in South Carolina. Campbell missed all of the 2004 season due to injury and the 2005 season due to his move to Boston. Campbell spent the latter half of the 2005 season in a pickup league in Framingham. In 2006, Campbell had a brief stint with the MABL Orioles and he came to the White Sox for a fresh start in 2007.
