Matt Deeb

Matt Deeb played baseball at Springfield College in Springfield, MA in 2005 before transferring to Bentley College in 2006. Today, in addition to playing for the White Sox, Deeb is an Assistant Coach for the Waltham High School baseball program.

Back in high school, Deeb had won the Offensive MVP in 2004, as well as the All-Area team in 2003 and 2004 in the Upstate NY, Albany area Section II. In 2004, he chalked up a .454 average with an on-base percentage of .534.

Deeb attributes his baseball skills to his grandfather who played semipro baseball in his day and went to war right before turning pro. Matt is 1 of 9 Deeb offspring (7 boys, 2 girls).
