Andrew Hubbard joined the White Sox mid-June 2007 after coming off of Tommy John surgery. Hubbs made an immediate impact, notching a save versus the Mariners in his first outing. Since then, Hubbard has started exclusively, going 4-1 in 5 starts, racking up 33 K's in 31 innings.

Prior to joining the White Sox, Hubbs played two years with the MABL Dodgers where he put together a 5-2 record before getting hurt. Hubbs also pitched for Northeastern University in 2006. Prior to that, he attended Wentworth Institute of Technology but did not play baseball. In high school, he pitched and played third base at Oakmont
Regional where he captained the team for two seasons, including his senior year where he was team MVP, leading the team in home runs, stolen bases, RBI and triples. Of note, Hubbs also captained his high school ice hockey team.
